This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for all services provided by The IT Guy MK
Cancelling a Booking
To cancel a booking, email info@theitguymk.co.uk with your name and booking reference. You can also cancel via your Customer Cabinet account.
Deposit Refunds
- More than 24 hours before your appointment — full deposit refund, no questions asked
- Less than 24 hours before your appointment — deposit is non-refundable as the slot cannot be reallocated at short notice
- No-show — deposit is non-refundable
- Cancellation by us — full deposit refund within 5 business days, no exceptions
Refund Timescales
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method (Stripe or PayPal). The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank.
Service Disputes
If you are unhappy with a completed service, please contact us within 48 hours at info@theitguymk.co.uk and we will work to resolve the issue. We aim to respond to all complaints within 2 business days.
Hardware Services — Parts
Parts purchased specifically for your hardware job are non-refundable once ordered, as they are sourced to your specification. You will always receive a written quote and your approval before any parts are purchased.
Web Design & Monthly Plans
Web design project deposits are non-refundable once project scoping has begun. Monthly care and hosting plans can be cancelled with 30 days notice — no refunds are given for part-months already paid.
